Because I keep hearing about it and being tagged in it. I thought I’d take a few moments to make a post.
Up above we have various anime that use a moe style character designs. As I’m sure you’re bound to notice there is a common theme to go with these.
That is: Eye spacing. Eyes usually are further apart from each other in moe shows I suppose in a way to show more cuteness. This however causes moe shows to also have off putting effects to people not used to this particular style.
The reason I am making this post? I see people who are watching shows I have posted above, that have the same issue as Clannad yet, they still make it seem like Clannad is full of strange inhuman bug creatues, or worse, don’t watch the show simply because “The eyes are so unrealistic”
Yet, I don’t hear these complaints about Nagi no Asukara which has almost identical eye spacing. Only real difference is the quality (the eyes have much more detail) as NagiAsu came out this year while Clannad was seven years ago.
Point is: If you watch these shows and the eyes don’t bother you, yet you still want to bitch about Clannad that’s fine. But stop bringing it up to me and tagging me in it.
